Ron and Thomas Give Back for Menno 75

As we continue along through our 75th year in business, The Menno S. Martin team continues putting people first in the Waterloo Region. We have given each of our team members $75 to go out into the community and commit acts of kindness.

From buying fritters for strangers at the St. Jacob’s Market to giving free coffee at Starbucks, to paying for strangers’ parking at the Grand River Hospital to buying a child a new Lego set, our team has had a lot of fun connecting with others in the community and giving back.

Our latest do gooders are Ron and Thomas V.

Ron chose to distribute Tim Horton’s Smile Cookies in his neighbourhood and also supported several local children’s fundraiser efforts with the extra money. When a Smile Cookie is purchased, the full $1 goes to help local charities like hospitals, food banks and children’s programs.

Thomas V. used all of his money to generously tip a server at a Guelph Boston Pizza following a baseball tournament. Recognizing how hard that staff member worked, and how tough the job can be, he thought it would be an appreciated gesture.

We are loving how our team members have been ‘spending’ their $75 doing these thoughtful acts of kindness, each idea has been fun to witness, and there are so many wonderful ways to do good!

Stay tuned for more Menno S. Martin Random Acts of Kindness to come.

Our 75th year celebrations may be coming to an end, but our team is always finding ways to practice Putting People First in Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph and beyond.
