A Year of Giving In Celebration of Our 75th

75 years in business is a big deal, but so is practicing putting people first on a daily basis and that’s exactly what we have been encouraging our staff at Menno S. Martin to do throughout 2017 in celebration of our 75th year in business.

Focusing on giving back, Menno staff have been giving to their favourite charities all year long. Each  staff member was given $500 to donate to the charity of their choice and we have been blogging about our donations since February and have a few more to share. In addition to supporting REEP Green Solutions, Hope Springs Cancer Support Centre, NOAH and The Working Centre and to Rock Steady Boxing group in Niagara that helps those battling Parkinson’s Disease our team has also donated their funds to the following charitable organizations that are near and dear to them and their families:

Children’s Health Foundation Cardiac Unit, London, Ontario Elmira Poppy Fund
Friends of Hockey
KidsAbility
Lakeside Hope House in Guelph
MCC – Hurricane Irma Relief for Haiti and Cuba
Mennonite Disaster Services
Michael House
Parkinson’s Canada
SickKids Toronto – Scoliosis Clinic
Thresholds Homes & Support (Wellness & Resident Counsel)
TWEEC
Woolwich Community Services
Woolwich Kids and I Resource Centre

It’s been a very fulfilling year watching Menno staff give back to the organizations and groups that have supported them and their families. We all feel so fortunate that there are groups in our communities that can help us and others maneuver through rough times. Giving back is important to all of us at Menno S. Martin and look forward to Putting People First for the next 75 years in our community.
