Here is what you can expect from our five-part process:

REVIEW PROJECT OBJECTIVES

Shortly after submitting your inquiry through our website, someone from our team will connect with you to gather further information. Art, Trent or James-Erik, our Design/Build Managers, will then contact you to discuss your objectives and review the overall feasibility of your project.
They will meet with you at your home to go over your wishes, wants and requirements for the space you want renovated.
It is important for us to understand your particular lifestyle needs so we know exactly what you're looking to achieve.

INITIAL BUDGET & DESIGN

A feasibility study is prepared and concept drawings are developed. We will create a preliminary budget and provide you with an initial scope of work based on the site investigation and concepts discussed.
After this is presented, we will discuss, fine-tune and correct any of the elements.
If the estimate is not within your budget, we can discuss all options that will allow you to accomplish your goals.

FINALIZE CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT

Working drawings and specifications relative to our discussion and your objectives will be presented.
We will go through product selections and descriptions with you.
A detailed renovation agreement with options (if any), and allowances will be provided. This gives you confidence that we have heard, understood your needs and wishes, and have produced a design that captures your vision.
The agreement will outline when construction will begin, how long it will take to complete and how much it will cost.

THE BUILD

We will take care of all of the necessary permits and give you a project schedule and start date. We plan with you so you get the maximum use of your house during construction.
Our team of skilled craftsmen go out of their way to ensure that inconvenience is kept to a minimum while all work is being complete. Our craftsmen and sub-trades are tidy, polite and care for property and environment.
Trent, Art and James-Erik will regularly check in with you so that they can answer any questions your might have. When the project is completed, they will take you on a walk-through to go over all the details of the build.

AFTERCARE

Your satisfaction means a lot to us and want you to be delighted with your renovation long after you’ve finished paying for it - that’s why we guarantee our work for a full five years after completion!
We also offer a small-jobs service to our clients, so that you can continue to enjoy every part of your home. We can add a deck or gazebo, replace a door or build in some laundry room cabinets. All completed with the same level of quality and care that our clients expect from Menno S. Martin.
