Before we meet to kick off our process, there are a few things you can do to ensure you are prepared and have done some of the fun stuff, like dreaming of your new space!

• Research, research and research! Gather inspiration from various sources such as magazines, websites, friend’s homes, Pinterest and other social media sites. A vision board (if you love tactile and old school) or a Pinterest board you can share with our team can be an easy way for us to get a sense of what your style is, and show us examples of custom features you are looking for.
• Get really clear on your renovation goals and priorities, including features that will make you truly love the transformation, along with anything you DON’T want!
• Establish a realistic budget range considering the scope of the project and potential contingencies. We can help refine this once we meet as well.

Here’s a detailed breakdown of our design/build process, along with a few essential tips for you to keep in mind at each stage:

1. Review Project Objectives:

Upon reaching out to us, our team will connect with you to understand your renovation goals. We’ll schedule a meeting at your home to delve into your wishes, requirements, and lifestyle needs, based on your advance research and the typical questions we ask our clients. We will often have suggestions that you may not have considered, and we aim to be as helpful as possible.

Tip: Take this opportunity to articulate your vision clearly and discuss any specific preferences or concerns you have for the project.

2. Initial Budget & Design:

Following our initial discussions, we’ll prepare a feasibility study and develop concept drawings tailored to your objectives. A preliminary budget and scope of work will be presented, allowing for adjustments as needed to align with your budget. There are solutions that will fit every budget!

Tip: Be transparent about your budget constraints but also remain open to alternative solutions that can achieve your desired outcomes within your financial parameters.

3. Finalize Construction Agreement:

Once the design and budget are refined, we’ll present detailed working drawings, specifications, and product selections for your approval. Our comprehensive renovation agreement will outline the project timeline, start date, completion schedule and cost breakdown. 

Tip: Carefully review the agreement to ensure all your requirements are accurately reflected and don’t hesitate to seek clarification on any aspect of the proposed plan.

4. The Build:

With all the paperwork and selections in place, we’ll obtain the necessary permits and schedule the start of construction. Our skilled and friendly craftsmen will work diligently to minimize disruption to your daily routine while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Regular check-ins from our team ensure open communication and address any queries or concerns you may have. You’ll have one main point of contact so that you always know what is happening in your home.

5. Aftercare:

As we near project completion, we’ll conduct a thorough walk-through with you to ensure every detail meets your expectations.
