Feature Project – A Stunning Strassburger Bathroom Renovation

This year has kept our team at Menno S. Martin busy with a number of bathroom remodels and we are eager to share this stunning Strassburger bathroom renovation with you. This project happens to be the second renovation we did for these Kitchener homeowners, and if you are interested in seeing photos from their kitchen makeover, you can find them at the end of this blog.

Tackling challenges with smart design

Our favourite challenge for this bathroom renovation was how to enlarge the shower and sink area for our clients. The old tub and shower were completely removed and the shower area was moved from one side of the room to the other. This bathroom no longer has a tub taking up all of the space, leaving plenty of room for a large glass enclosed shower area featuring an extra high shower head and low maintenance tiles and a beautiful marble bench.

Double vanity with white marble countertops

Our homeowner Kristen loves white marble and was keen on having two sinks in the updated bathroom, so marble countertops and a double vanity with undermount sinks were installed, leaving this bathroom both functional and stunning.

Custom cabinetry for added storage

We worked closely with Brian from Cabinet Effects on the custom cabinetry which gives this room plenty of extra storage for towels and toiletries that need to be tucked away out of sight. Not only is there plenty of storage under the counter, there is also a wall of drawers and cupboards across from the shower for anything else the homeowners want to neatly store.

Luxury in the details

One small but beautiful detail of this bathroom is the marble countertop that has been scooped around and becomes the window ledge giving this space a feeling of luxury and continuity.
