At our latest bi-weekly safety meeting with our staff we spoke about mental health. There is still quite a bit of stigma in society when it comes to talking about mental illness and mental health. The <a title=\"Bell Lets Talk\" href=\"http:\/\/letstalk.bell.ca\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bell Let&#8217;s Talk<\/a> campaign looks to help change that by showing ways to open up the conversation. Their website has videos, information and helpful links and messages from Ambassadors&nbsp; like <a title=\"Clara Hughes\" href=\"http:\/\/letstalk.bell.ca\/en\/our-initiatives\/spokespersons\/clara-hughes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Clara Hughes<\/a> and <a title=\"Howie Mandel\" href=\"http:\/\/letstalk.bell.ca\/en\/our-initiatives\/spokespersons\/howie-mandel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Howie Mandel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They offer <a title=\"Bell Lets Talk\" href=\"http:\/\/letstalk.bell.ca\/en\/end-the-stigma\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">5 simple ways to end the stigma around mental health<\/a>.<br \/>\n1. Language Matters<br \/>\n2. Educate Yourself<br \/>\n3. Be Kind<br \/>\n4. Listen and Ask<br \/>\n5. Talk About It<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->We offer our staff access to <a title=\"Shalom Counselling\" href=\"http:\/\/shalomcounselling.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">counselling services<\/a> for themselves and their family members because we know life can be filled with struggles and the best way to deal with them is to talk about it.<\/p>\n<p>January 28 is National Bell Let&#8217;s Talk Day. There are some <a title=\"local Let's Talk events\" href=\"http:\/\/www.therecord.com\/news-story\/5266642-bell-let-s-talk-event-about-mental-illness-coming-to-waterloo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">local events<\/a> including a free presentation featuring Paul Radkowski of Waterloo.
