Small house, dramatic addition

The house was small but affordable, and Phyllis and Melissa loved the downtown Victoria Park location. “We bought the house knowing we would expand” remembers Melissa. “It had a small, un-insulated, leaking back kitchen that was added on in the 1930’s or so. Instead of renovating, we decided to demolish this and start from scratch. We wanted the new addition to include a new kitchen, one more bedroom, and a second bathroom, since we have 2 teenage boys.”
